Well, this week has been a little slow. I’ve hit a bit of a creative block, maker’s block, whatever you want to call it. But, I did make a couple of cards. One was a just because card, because sometimes you don’t need a reason to send a card other than, just because! And, another was a birthday card for a summer birthday. I’ll add pictures below.
My daughter-in-law asked if I could make a junk journal. A what? My reply, “I’ve never done one put I’ll see what I can come up with”. So, I of course hit-up YouTube to see what was out there and was inspired to make a journal that was geared toward beginners. No, sewing of the binding required, right up my alley. And, I have to say that I am pretty happy with the way it turned out! I have to cut a few tags for it and it will be in the mail this weekend, I hope she enjoys it. You can find a video walk through of the whole journal on my facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/playinwithpaper/
I have also been working on some “fancy” notepads. You take a store bought notepad (1 buck at the dollar tree) and make a cover for it, just like you would a mini album. They turn out lovely, and for those of you that follow me on instagram already know that I made one of these for my mom for Mother’s Day and of course already gave it to her (what can I say, when I’m excited about something I just can’t wait!!).
Wow, I guess the past week was not as slow on the crafting front as I thought. Anyway, I will be making a video tutorial (that will be posted to my Facebook Page) for both the “fancy” notepads and for the junk journal in the coming weeks. In the meantime you can always find me on Instagram if you would like to see what I’m up to in the crafting world.
Here are the pictures of the notepads….
